Yes, I learned many things from him that helped me in life. He is my role model and always will be. I have seen him do anything and everything to make sure we(his family) had good food to eat, good house to live in and good clothes to wear. I try my best to follow his footsteps. He is proud of me and I will always make sure it stays that way.
Practicing for a competition always falls outside of your comfort zone and there was this one time when my shoulder got injured while practicing a khunda spin. I was told by my team members to not do it and replace those 5 seconds that it took with something else. I decided to go on with the spin hoping that I’ll recover but I didn’t. An hour before the performance I broke a khunda while practicing the spin. I didn’t wanna give up on such a stunt because of my injury. I kept practicing and ended up doing it on stage. It didn’t come out as perfectly as I wanted it to but it still got people on their feet and cheering. Btw, I am talking about a khunda spin that my brother, Meet and I did at Bruin Bhangra where SPD placed 1st. Practicing to win can’t be comfortable.
