Malwai Gidha is a folk dance of males of Malwa region in Punjab. This dance was originally performed by Babey (old men) and hence is also called Babeyan da Gidha but the dance is now performed by younger men too. This includes teasing of other people in Boliyan (folk poetry). The most commonly used instruments are dholki, tumbi, chimta, algozey and dhol. Props like sapp, kato, and gadvi-chittar are also used. Shaan Punjab Dee will be performing live and playing folk instruments, singing boliyan, using props in rhythm for about 12 to 15 minutes. Mics with stands will have to be arranged by the client.
