My coaches are Komal Gill and Shikha Arora. Three positive things about me are; I accept my mistakes and always want to correct them. I am dedicated once I make a commitment and lastly I always try my best!

I learnt that life happens, and that your hobbies, your true hobbies are the things that create a space for fun and peace with yourself. Gidha has brought me happiness in all different ways.

I have repped SPD at Bit6ix in 2019 and also in many instagram videos

The first time I had stepped out of my comfort zone, is when I first came to SPD and Prabh Saini asked me to perpare a little gidha boli and perform it in the next class where my team and he would watch me perform by myself. I was a little nervous but it was definitely something new!! At the end, I had managed to put a smile on everyones faces and that’s when I knew that gidha is so my thing!

A challenging goal that I have accomplished was when in practices we would all learn to do foot work for Gidha and my legs would give up after like 5 minutes, but sooner or later I could go on for days!

I would say my best performance has to be the exhibition performance at Canada’s Biggest Bhangra and Gidha Competition, Bhangra and Gidha in the 6ix 2019, , and it was a boli that got posted on many Gidha pages, one of them being SPD page. This boli required a lot of synchronization which took a lot of time and effort but at the end we killed that performance especially because we had to lie down on the floor and spin!! It was very difficult but we did so well!!

Ahhh It’s hard to choose one segment.

I spend my spare time with my loved ones, my sisters/friends, my grandparents, and my parents.

A problem in the world that I would solve would be littering. This is because the amount of time that we have on earth is decreasing due to the polluted oceans and green land and a lot of cool species are going instinct such as elephants, dolphins, and whales.

I hope to continue dancing and spreading my happiness with everyone in my team, and wish to go onto competitions.

Yes, beacause the coaches here are not only knowledgeable but experienced. You could be passionate but if it’s not given the direction it needs then you can end up wasting time. At SPD, you INVEST time.

SPD is a group of individuals who love to dance and love to spread that love for dancing to everyone who watches them.
